Principle :

• The Magnetic Level Switch consists of non-abrasive Float carrying permanent magnet and non-ferrous stem carrying one. two or multiple reed switches. The float glides along the stem and when the float nears the vicinity of reed switch the magnetic field of permanent magnet forces the contact to close, thereby completing the external electrical circuit. 

 

Applications :

• Due to simple design, reliability and with only one moving part i.e., Magnetic Float, it finds application in various liquids where accurate and repeated liquid level control is called for.

Oil Level Indicator is designed to indicate the Oil level inside the tank with a visual indicator above the tank. Oil Level Indicator is very useful in visually monitoring the Oil level from a distance. Standard Construction

Standard Oil Level Indicator is provided with transparent acrylic tube mounted on a MS flange, supported by four SS tie rods. Reed proximity sensors are mounted on two tied rods using mounting brackets. Float is made up of Solid Nylon Foam of very low density. The float is connected to a piston rod & the other end of which fitted with a circular bicolour disc. The Bicolour disc is assembled with a permanent magnet. Bicolour magnetic assembly performs a dual role of oil level indication & actuation of Reed proximity sensor

Measuring Principle

• The fork is driven by Piezo elements at its resonant frequency. The resonant frequency of the fork is inversely proportional to the mass of liquid moved per second. Therefore the resonant frequency reduces as more and more tines get covered with the liquid. This change in the resonant frequency is accurately measured by ‘LiquiTune' electronics and used to signal an alarm. Open collector PNP output is available as standard for connection to PLC or for relay operation.
